I checked the fuses underneath the seat and all were good. Tested battery, it's good full charge. I then removed the key ignition to see if I could follow it maybe seeing if ... So, I have a 2002 Kawasaki Prairie 650 Brute Force with under 500 miles on it. Extremely clean machine. I bought it about 2 years ago. Ran great when I bought it and for about 6 months after.

Hi guys, I just have a question for you all I have a 2002 650 prairie that will only go up to 30 mph in low and up to 45 mph in hi gear once it gets to those speeds it starts to cough and acts as it were runing out of gas or something, can someone help with this? I swapped out the speed sensor with my brother's 04 700 prarie, same problem. Traced out the wiring diagram and did some checkes and the brown wire wasn't supplying power to the speed sensor. Brown wire was broke.
