The sophomore from Green Bay, Wis., captured three individual MIAA titles. On the track, Tinch clocked an amazing time of 12.97 seconds (wind aided) in winning the 110-meterr hurdles. In his field events, Tinch broke the all-time PSU high jump record with his winning clearance of 7 feet, 2 inches (2.18 meters).The facility is set to receive another facelift in the summer of 2023 with the construction of a new entryway as well as a new black wrought iron fence with brick columns enclosing the track and field. On Nov. 1, 2008, Tech President Dr. Dan Reneau announced that the track facility would once again be named the Jim Mize Track and Field Complex.Averaged 8.3 ppg as a junior and earned honorable mention all-league honors in the Fox River CLassic Conference.
