I just changed my gear oil in the front and the fluid capacities I've seen posted says 4 pints (2 quarts), but that much won't fit in. At about a 1.3 qts it starts flowing out the fill hole.Capacity 12 - 12,000 lbs. 18 - 18,000 lbs. 22 - 22,000 lbs. 24 - 24,000 lbs. Called ARB. Hi everyone, I called ARB tech department with my concerns as to the correct amount of fluid for my differentials. ARB Tech. stated that they would require the factory amount in each diff, which is 2.5 pints in Dana 30 and 4.0 pints for the Dana 44.

The Dana 60 spec is just under 3 quarts. In my personal experience, the Dana 50 will take about 2.5 - 2.75 quarts to fill to the plug. As far as I know, the D50 and D60 use the same case, so they SHOULD have the same capacity. Mines a 98 5 speed with dana 80 in the rear 60 in the front. If I remember correctly I used just over 4 quarts of royal purple 75w-90. Just checked the FAQ and it said to use 75w140 on the rear dana 35 and 80w90 on the front dana 30. Can I use 80w90 on the rear or is it a bad thing. Im open/open on the axles too. It is a heavy-duty, gear-driven transfer case with a 23-spline input shaft. The case is cast iron but the tail housing is aluminum. The ID number C300-15 is stamped on the case. The owner's manual states "10.1" pints capacity which includes the 10 ounces of friction modifier. This is also the capacity posted in the Geno's Garage tech section. The owner's manual also states to only fill to a level "3/4 inch below" fill plug hole.

May 15, 2014 · I have always liked Mobil synthetic products. However, for our 1999 Jeep XJ Cherokee Dana 30 and Chrysler 8.25" axles with ARB Lockers, I use Mopar 75W-120 synthetic gear lube. I use this same lube in the 9.25" and 11.5" AAM axles in the 2005 Ram 3500 4WD truck. The Dana/Spicer Model 35 is an automotive axle.
