MarinCRO · #2 · Aug 1, 2020. I have '19 Pro1 with DPX2 and it's great but the rebound damping is on the light side, so if you're heavier guy you might want a rebound revalve. DPX2 is a better shock and I had few bikes with DPS but I wasn't very happy with it. DPX feels a lot like X2 but it's more supportive and better fit for a trail bike.Basically, the DPX2 takes a trimmed-down version of the X2 damper and sticks it into a more trail-bike-friendly package. Compared to the existing Float X, that means a couple of key things: (1) The addition of the EVOL air sleeve, which introduces a more linear progression early in the stroke, and will improve small-bump sensitivity.A Fox DPX2 will be an instant improvement over your RockShox Deluxe. ... Not as plush as the DPS, seemed to work better on big hits. Definitely worked better on long descents.Hi guys.
