I can't find much about wether a Bard with a bow is viable in Baldur's Gate 3 and how you could build him/her. From what i gather people are either melee or hand crossbow Valor Bards or range spellcaster Lore Bards or (obviously) melee Swords Bard. In bg3 though, I cannot see a reason to use a longbow over a heavy crossbow/dual wield hand crossbows, other than rp or flavor. By the point in the game where I found my first longbow, I was already dual wielding hand crossbows and had no reason to swap other than my character's RP being a bow user.
