Reds start appearing on level 25 with weight 0.1 and grow to 0.25 at level 30. At level 1 you would only drop white items cause you don't meet the lower level constraints for better gear. At level 30 your weights are plentiful 0, common 1, rare 5, exotic 1, unique 0.25. Sum them all and you get 7.25.Just rolling an orange equivalent one would at last have the chance of decent traits. What makes it even more a shame is that they seem to have nice skins that are totally wasted that way. Imho a red weapon should be a simply placeholder. You unlock perks on them and can arrange the three you want.
